2004 Chicago Public League Divisional Players of the Year

The Ben Wilson Public League Red Division Player of the Year is Calvin Brock of Simeon. Brock's second-half play catapulted the Wolverines to the Red-South championship while holding off pre-season favorite Julian. The senior forward averaged 18 points and 12.7 rebounds during his senior season.

The "Chops" Billinger Public League Blue Division Player of the Year is Aramis Brown of Bogan. The senior guard lit up scoreboards across the city in leading the Bengals to the Blue-South section crown. Brown averaged 32 points a game this season for the defending Blue Division city champions.

The Ben Wilson Public League Red Division Player of the Year is named for the late Ben Wilson, an All-American standout at Simeon High who led the Wolverines to the 1984 state championship before his untimely death that summer. The "Chops" Billinger Public League Blue Division Player of the Year is named for Ronald "Chops" Billinger, who recently passed in January. Billinger was well known around metropolitan Chicago for finding those "diamonds in the rough" that ultimately performed well in college and professional basketball at all levels.
